At Arkesel, we strive to continually enhance our services and provide our esteemed clients with cutting-edge solutions. We are thrilled to announce the release of our latest feature – OTP retrieval via USSD. This innovative addition to our existing OTP retrieval methods provides your clients an additional medium to access their OTP.
OTP Retrieval Methods:
Until now, we offered two reliable methods for OTP retrieval – SMS and Voice. However, understanding our clients’ evolving needs and preferences, we have introduced yet another way to retrieve OTP codes with utmost ease – USSD.
OTP Retrieval By USSD
The new OTP retrieval method by USSD is a valuable addition to our existing features. It opens up further possibilities for streamlined authentication and seamless user experiences. This method allows recipients to access OTP codes using a USSD code effortlessly, e.g. “*928*01#” when the OTP was initially sent via SMS or voice.
How It Works:
When you send an OTP to a user via SMS or Voice using Arkesel’s OTP API, your users have the option to view their OTP code by dialing a USSD code if, for some reason, they don’t receive the SMS because their inbox is full. By dialing a specific USSD code provided by our service, individuals will instantly access the OTP code on their mobile screens.
Our OTP API returns the associated USSD code for the OTP request. You can then display the code to your user with an appropriate message. “Dial *928*01# to access your OTP if you haven’t received it.”
Benefits and Advantages:
1. OTP Retrieval Expanded:
With the introduction of the new USSD feature, we have expanded the range of options available to our clients for OTP retrieval. While SMS and Voice methods have served us well, the USSD method takes our service to the next level.
2. Quick and Simple Method:
With our new USSD feature, recipients of OTP codes can conveniently access their codes directly via a USSD code instead of relying solely on SMS or Voice calls. This method allows OTP code to be accessible to the recipient immediately when OTP delivery is initiated without waiting for an SMS or phone call. The OTP can be accessed only by the designated recipient number.
3. Seamless Integration with Existing Methods:
Our team has worked diligently to ensure that the USSD method seamlessly integrates with our existing OTP service. All you have to do is display the USSD code returned for your existing OTP API calls to your users.
